Online tickets are valid only for the date specified. Each contains a unique barcode. Once scanned the online ticket has been redeemed and cannot be re-used.
Online tickets cannot be resold, exchanged or refunded. Also, online tickets cannot be used in conjunction with any type of discount ticket or offer.
It is the responsibility of the ticket holder to ensure they arrive at the Abbey in good time, allowing for queuing time, particularly in high season. Westminster Abbey does not guarantee entry with online tickets when not redeemed before the last hour of the advertised opening hours for that day.
In the event that this ticket cannot be redeemed due to an unadvertised or short-notice closure, Westminster Abbey reserves the right to extend the validity of the ticket for up to 6 months.
Online tickets that have been amended, copied or defaced in any way will not be accepted.
Entry to the Abbey
You must bring a print out of your online ticket(s) with you to gain entry.
Entry is via the North door entry point only. Please present your online ticket to the staff on the desk where it will be scanned. Visitors who have purchased a guide book(s) with their online ticket(s) can also collect these on entry.
Security searches operate at entry points. Westminster Abbey retains the right to refuse entry on the grounds of safety and security at any time.
All ticket holders must comply with all relevant statutes in law, safety announcements and regulations whilst attending Westminster Abbey.
We shall have the right to refuse admission or to eject you and any other ticket holder from Westminster Abbey if, in our reasonable opinion, admission might be a risk to the safety of others and/or affect the enjoyment of Westminster Abbey by others.

Tickets are non-changeable and non-refundable once purchased. We are under no obligation to issue refunds where an online ticket has been cancelled by you.
In rare circumstances beyond our control, we reserve the right to cancel an online ticket but we will endeavour to notify you as soon as we become aware that this is necessary. Should we have to cancel your online ticket we will offer to extend the validity to allow a visit on another date or refund the purchase in full to the credit/debit card used at the time of purchase.
